  • Sat., Apr. 26, 2014 8:00AM - 6:00PM CDT Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale

The sale is taking place earlier than in previous years, due to the construction at Lambeau Field and the work that the Pro Shop team must complete in preparation for the new store, which will open this summer. Visitors to Lambeau Field should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate. Parking is available in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items greatly reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team’s football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including a large assortment of t-shirts, shorts, jackets, jerseys and pants. Some items are practice-worn gear not normally available in the Pro Shop.

The tent sale began in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field and grew into a popular event. Now in its 11th year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

Packers to face Giants in NFC divisional round

Posted by Mike Spofford on January 8, 2012 – 2:58 pm

With their victory over the Atlanta Falcons, the New York Giants earned a trip to Lambeau Field for the NFC divisional playoffs against the Packers at 3:30 p.m. CT next Sunday.

Seeded fourth in the NFC, the Giants (10-7) beat the Falcons 24-2 in a wild-card game on Sunday. The Packers (15-1) are seeded first in the NFC and had a first-round bye.

No. 2 seed San Francisco (13-3) will host No. 3 seed New Orleans (14-3) in the other NFC divisional game, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT Saturday. The winners of the two divisional games will meet in the NFC Championship on Sunday, Jan. 22, at the site of the highest remaining seed. The Packers, as the No. 1 seed, would host the conference title game should they get there.

Next Sunday’s Packers-Giants game will be the second meeting between the teams this season. Back on Dec. 4, the Packers won, 38-35, on a last-second field goal at MetLife Stadium.

The Packers and Giants last met in the playoffs following the 2007 season in the NFC title game. The Giants won that game, 23-20 in overtime at Lambeau Field, to advance to the Super Bowl.

The upcoming game will mark the seventh postseason meeting all-time between the Packers and Giants. The Packers are 4-2 in the previous six meetings, beating the Giants for the NFL Championship in 1939, ’44, ’61 and ’62. The Giants beat the Packers for the NFL title in 1938 and in the NFC Championship four years ago.

I think the Giants are the best team in the NFC besides the Packers. They are also on fire, that D-Line scares me. Luckily Clifton, Jennings, Bulaga, and starks will be healthy this week

Wow, this looks like a replay of 2007 when I had to bear the humiliation of the Packers losing to the giants. My husband is a Giants fan, it was a cold night. Please Packers…..be prepared to beat the Giants!!!!!! GO PAC GO!!!

It’ll be a helluva game but I don’t think the Giants can play with the Pack at Lambeau right now. Falcons were totally unprepared for this game today. Packers will be healthy and ready. Rodgers and the offense will tear them up. Go Pack Go…

I have a terrible feeling about this. By the third quarter today, I wonder if the Packer players who were watching the Atl-NYG game had a strong feeling that their season was over! Giants were rated as the worst rushing team in the league, or close to it, but they are one of the best. So much for stats, or your record during the regular season. Giants have a totally dominating defense, the best running game of teams left in the playoffs, a solid passing game (Eli didn’t throw his usual three ints today). GB has a passing game. We’ll see. I’m depressed already.

Snow Angles will prevail for the Packers! The Packers worked all year to earn everything they needed to repeat. Can’t wait.

I watched that game with my wife and she said, and then I agreed that on EVERY SNAP when the Giants were on defense they were in the neutral zone. Many times they seemed to be over the line of scrimmage. If I was Green Bay I would mention that fact to the refs to get them back because that is an advantage that should not be. Also Atlanta did nothing to spread out the Giants on defense, they played right into the Giants hands. Green Bay has to put the Giants in dime defense and make plays. On defense Green Bay needs to stop their run, take advantage of the poor right tackle and play better in the secondary. If they do so they should win.

packers dont give the giants anything -we the fans would like to see you shut the giants out so we dont have to worry with 13 seconds left in the fourth quarter -mike mccarthy hopefully will remind the packers players to do more than “go out and have a good time” -he needs to tell the pack “no mercy!”-the hearts of packer fans will have a hard time enduring ANY scoring by the nyg -go pack -

The Giants are not facing an old quarterback like they did in 2007. They are facing a quarterback who would have defeated them in 2007. Aaron Rodgers defeated the Giants earlier this year in the Meadowlands when he and the Packers really weren’t playing all that well.

The Giants may be hot, but they played two games at home against the Cowboys, who really weren’t very good, and the Falcons, who also were overrated. The Packers defeated the Falcons in Atlanta scoring the last 25 points.

Now the Giants come to Lambeau where they lost last year 45-14. This is what Green Bay has to remember, not the fiasco in 2007 where the old quarterback gave the game away.

Green Bay is going to score a lot of points against the Giants defense. Green Bay has averaged over 40 points at home and there is no reason to believe they will not score at least 40 points at home. Heck, they scored 38 points against this same team in their stadium not too long ago.

The big question mark, as it was that day in the Meadowlands, as it has been throughout the year, is the defense. I still think Don Capers is overrated as a defensive coach based on what I have seen the last three years. The defense needs to step up. You don’t want to see the offense needing to score in the fourth quarter continuously, no matter how good they are. Provided the offense plays the way they have shown they can play, Green Bay wins this game 45-21.

I agree with Mike, he hit the nail on the head, i live 70 miles from NY and the announcers and media have already started pumping up the midgets even before the game was over. The fox commentators and their media are a joke. They don’t know what their up against next sunday!!!

I live in Nj as well and i hear the Giants fans talk smack to me each and every single week since week 14 last year when the Packers went on the roll and i keep asking them don’t you get tired of talking smack and the Packers throwing it in your face each and every single week? Lets go Pack the defense needs to step up big in this game!! i went to the week 13 game this year at Metlife Stadium and we didn’t look as good as we should have! we need to be sharp! and i doubt the Giant will be able to handle the noise level at Lambeau field idc about the 2007 season this is a totally different team and we have a QB in his prime not the end of his career i love Brett but Rodgers i love more at QB!!! GO PACK GO!!! Lets go get pumped Packers bring the Lombardi trophy home again!!! Defense needs to step it up!!

all the potential match-ups through the SB look to be very competitive. giants are hot… but i think the packers have the proven talent. i see someone like woodson or williams or matthews win a close one with a game-changing play (maybe for points). manning DID throw 16 interceptions in the regular season… we’ll see.

Carol said just like 2007. This is nothing like that. We had a selfish QB then that threw more interceptions than touchdowns in crunch time! This will be like the week 16 game last year when Packers won 45 to 17. Eli will turn into Eli again. He’s played to well for to many weeks in a row. Clifton and Brian B will be up to the task. Remember this, the Packers are healthy as they’ve been all year!! Go Pack Go!!!

The only thing that scres me about the giants is that they have some big recievers and we have had our share of bad pass defense. Our defense needs to step it up now and be the tem that we were last year in the play offs. I love our offense but its the defense that could give it up for us. take em down pack! Show them all that our defense is as great as iy should be.

This will be a good matchup. If our defense doesnt show up we will lose this game. And even if we get through a shoot out with the Giants we will not make it past the Saints in a shoot out. This week we will see if the Defense of 2010 comes back or we will be stuck with the bend and break every once and a while defense that gives up massive yards through the air. With the talent we have on defense it is criminal how poorly they have played. I hope we take this seriously and get prepared and play like the defending Champs who are 15-1 and dominate some people to get some respect right now NO ONE respects this team all they talk about is the Giants and the Saints…. Chips should be on shoulders and we should have something to prove this weekend … For we do!

The Pack cannot afford to allow Rodgers to be rushed by that Giant defensive line and they must in turn apply real pressure on Manning or this game will get ugly real quick! I live in Jersey and we get our share of lousy weather so the Giants are no strangers to bad weather.Packer defense better come to play both against the run and the pass. Watch Hicks real close. playoff football…. there’s nothing like it. win or go home. only the best get a chance (… well, AND the occasional HOT team). next week’s games will answer the whole “defense wins championships” motto. packers, saints, patriots… ALL have given up tons of yardage by their defenses. will the high-flying offenses cover those failings? should be great football next week. we’ll see what happens… good luck to all (yet, go pack go!!!)

This should be a barn-burner. An all or nothing effort that will pull out any stops. Everything will hinge on the right outside linebacker. The pass rush and holding the outside corner. If Zombo can kick it in… we win 41 to 17. We need at least 2 sacks from this position or we will have to score almost 50 points to win.I believe Zombo could be a good one . This is also his make or break opportunity.GIVE EM HELL ZOMBO

The Giants and Saints are hot right now. Both sides of the ball are contributing equally with those teams. We will now see if our defense steps it up in the playoffs and is equal to the task. This will be the toughest two weeks ahead. If they advance to the SB, the opponent will not be as tough coming out of the AFC…the focus is back on one game at a time and limiting whatever the opponent does best. Let’s step it up for the postseason–make Lambeau LOUD and don’t lose hope for 60 minutes. GO PACK GO!

  57. By Dano on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

Tony is absolutely correct. Rodgers and the Packers will play with a chip on their shoulders. This team is well coached and never mouths off to the media. Because they do not make waves, they do not get the “extra” coverage from the National media. And, if you saw the ESPN 60 interview with Rodgers, he is completely motivated to win a second Super Bowl and make everyone forget about BF for awhile. He is also getting closer to Bart Starr. The right thing to do. Love it!

I love how many people blame our Coordinator, Dom Capers for a lackluster defense. It’s as if you’re all blindly defending our current roster of defensive players/ GM. Do we have Justin Tuck, Osi, or Jason Pierre Paul? No, we have ONE Raji and OK but aging Pickett and no one else of note on the D Line. Yes, we have playmakers on the back end and with Clay but we simply don’t have the talent we had in the past–not even from a year ago. PASS RUSH or a lack there of will rear its ugly head this postseason. If we don’t get pressure and they do – it’s over.

If this happens (and it might) we, as fans, will return to the Ted Thompson AKA ‘Cheapskate’ blame game. If we win it all—I will EAT MY WORDS (which I realize are rather meaningless). Look, the goal is not to just make the playoffs when you have Aaron Rodgers, the goal should be to win championships year after year and we don’t seem to have the horses to do that on defense this year. We’ll need that bend don’t break and turnover creating defense to continue it’s identity to have a chance to win it all again. I hope I’m wrong…

As a hard-core Giants fan i will kindly say this:

It has also been cold in New Jersey, the giants will have no weather problems

The noise will be normal, you should have heard us vs the cowgirls and farkins

The packers had better get their defense to do better than ever or else Manning, Nicks, and Cruz will trample ‘em.

  61. By wotrwokr on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

prediction for next week: packers win 48 to 41. one score will be a pick6 for the packers. manning threw 16 INTs this season and i’m guessing he’s due. the defense will “bend” tremendously… but hold the giants to a few field goals in the red zone instead of TDs. someone like: brad jones, vic so’oto, frank zombo, howard green, etc. not be a focus of the giants offense and will have a breakout game. the packers have the better talent (and season record to prove it)…. while the giants have the momentum and are hot at the right time. it will be a true classic at lambeau for the ages that will be remembered for at least a generation.

may the best team win (fingers crossed)

Caper’s is dumb as a fox. If the Giants think the defense they faced in the 38-35 battle in NY will be the same this coming weekend then more power to your fantasies. IMHO Capers has been playing vanilla all season just to spring his traps against offenses in the playoffs armed with regular season film. Our offensive numbers are staggering; still we cannot take any team lightly in the playoffs.

the best way to stop a fierce pass rush is to throw quick slants or short post patterns, after getting burned a few times the giants pass rush will cool down. once they set up in a zone or even in man coverage the game should be over, protect rodger and the d has to do something for a change..

(montana) THAT would be the coaching move of the SEASON! i can only hope you’re right. the defense has given up W A Y too much yards and big plays. we’ve given the opposing QBs too much time to pick apart the secondary. we need to find ways to get between these playoff QBs ears and make them rush their throws some. eli threw 16 INTs this season ans WE’VE been HUGE in takeaways. that portends to a very positive outcome sunday. we’re healthy… now we’ve got to prove ourselves to the league (and the dimwit media types). they want to see us fall on our face. we’re better than that… WAY better. as kevin greene told clay last season…. “IT’S TIME!”

The Pack will win. We have one of the best defensive coaches in the history of the game putting a plan together to stop the running game of the giants. Manning can’t beat us on his own. We will pick it 3 times before the gun sounds to end the game.

Rodgers is not only the best in the game, but he is as cool as a cucumber. McCarthy knows exactly what to do to beat the gmen. We will win by 10.

Finelly has to get his head in the game and catch everything thing thrown his way. Finelly 1 TD, Jennings 2, Nelson 2, Jones 1. Starks will run one in at the end to seal the deal.

this will be a great game, and no one will run away with it. the giants are on a roll that’s for sure… but the packers are no slouch. may the better team win. good luck

“Why did the Chiefs beat them?” Why did the Giants lose 7 games this year? Packers Offense was back to their old ways last 2 weeks of the season. Falcons are not good away from the dome. The Cowboys were overrated like usual this season. 49ers, Saints, and Packers handed the Giants a loss. Lets wait till the Giants win this week to actually be serious about them. Eli Manning this Eli Manning that. Aaron Rodgers threw 10 fewer INT and 16 more TDS. Packers defense leads the league in INTs. 24 points will not beat the Packers.

I love the Green and Gold, but I’m having a difficult time agreeing with most of the comments. No doubt I’m supportive with my hopes that the Packers will win, but the Defense has been a huge liability with scant pressure on opposing QBs plus being gouged with big yardage all year. How can anyone feel confident about this situation? Timing is important as we all know that our guys got hot starting with the last 2 games of the regular season last year. Now it seems that the Giants have everything coming together. The better team will definitely win this Sunday. I hope its our guys.

  93. By Rick on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

Giants are too hot right now for the packers to make any mistakes. If the giants show up like they did today, there is not one team that will beat them. For some of you pack fans that claim the giants don’t worry you at all, you are out of your minds.

  94. By Eddie R on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

After reading most of the Packer fans taking the Giants very likely let me remind you that it was the Giants who gave you a run for your money when you came to our house. It was KC who gave you your lost. But it was the Giants who had Rodgers on the floor the most this season. Keep taking the Giants likely Packer fans. Think about who is going to cover 2 receivers who went over 1000 yards. What other team in the NFC has those weapons who will you double up and who will you leave open manningham, Nicks, Cruz lmfao. The Giants finally have all our weapons on defense playing together FINALLY and all the pieces of the puzzle is coming to play hard in your city next. Just because you won the first don’t think is going to be a easy win especially in football is very hard to beat your opponent twice in football. All these high scores you people are giving the packers enjoy it because next weekend we will see who is truly the real winners who will proceed and who will be the losers going home. If I was a betting man I would be afraid of this giants pass rush that is becoming something very scary even more scarier than 2007 when we beat the Patriots. Greenbay better prepare well and they better hope that their defense plays better than the Giants do.

The Packers will be rested and healthy. They will not be rusty; was the O rusty on the first game of the season? The D has not been playing playing up to its potential every game, but I agree with those who suggest that this preoccupation with yardage is a bit misguided. Sure, they give up yardage, but they also take the ball away and hey, this is the playoffs. And they have made stops when they needed to this year, as the Saints, Chargers, and Panthers can tell you. Yes, the Giants are on a roll, and I don’t mean to diminish their wins over the ‘Boys and Falcons, but neither of those teams is the Packers at home. Oh, it’s gonna be a good game alright, but if both teams give us their best games, the Pack should come out ahead, and not just because of their offense. Expect the packers D to rise to the occasion.

Should be a classic playoff game next week. I know Pack has players coming back, but so do Giants. Last 2 weeks was first time all season G-Men had their starting front 4 healthy…Osi missed GB game in NJ, and Tuck was playing injured. On offense, Manningham also missed 1st GB game,so now Eli has Cruz, Nicks, Manningham, and Ballard as targets vs. questionable GB secondary, with Jacobs and Bradshaw pounding people on the ground. GB will put points up, but if Giants D shows up like they did today, they will give the Pack all they can handle. No predictions, but 15-1 doesn’t mean anything this time of year…it’s the second season. Let’s Go Big Blue!

  102. By Maxwell on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

Last time I checked, the Giants came to our house last year with the same mission: Elimitate Green Bay. Guess what? They didn’t…this is not the same team as 2007 and the more the Giants keep confidence in that, the less likely they will succeed. We, however, need to protect our greatest asset: Rodgers. If we do, game over – Manning can’t shoot with the Packers and if the Defense makes one or two plays: game over. Go Pack!!

  103. By Lee on Jan 8, 2012 | Reply

I agree with Tom. Throw all the stats out the window. This is the time of year when you play your best game because there is no tomorrow, only next year if you lose. From what I saw today of the Giants, they will be a formidable team to reckon with. I think it will likely be a closer game than anyone realizes with a good chance that whoever has the ball last will likely end up the victor. It will be a hard fought game. That said, I hope the Pack wins. I think each team respects the other. Should be a great game!

The packers will welcome the Giants to Green Bay, and will allow them a few touchdowns, so that don’t feel so bad when they go home to watch the NFC championship. The true portential of the Pack has yet to be tested, most the games this season they got so far ahead they just stopped trying to score TDs, and worked on the clock. Most of the points scored against their Defense were in garbage time. When the D needed to step up, they usually did, but most of the time they were confident enough to play their opponents loose so they could pick up the interceptions, which tells me they are a lot better then most realize. AND NOW the full team is rested, ready and waiting, along with the 12th man (The fans) along with the 13th man. (The GB cold) In should be a fun to watch :) GO PACK GO!

Another Pack fan in NJ checking in. We won’t take them lightly. The Giants are a very good, well balanced team peaking at the right time. But we’ll be ready. I’m thinking a close Pack win in a classic.
I’m expecting coworkers to talk 2007 with me all week. I made a bet with my boss on that game – the winner had to wear the loser’s jersey at work on Monday, winner providing the jersey. It was a long, long day walking around the office wearing – of all numbers – Jeremy Shockey’s #80. He had no mercy.
I’m looking forward to seeing how he looks in a green and gold #12 this time :-)

Anyone that thinks that the giants aren’t a team to worry about needs to re-think that. From what I saw today their running game is starting to come together and Eli is making plays like he ‘is’ an elite quarterback. Their D is pretty formidable and they can get pressure on quarterbacks with 4 rushers. I hope our lines on both sides of the ball can hold their own and handle the G men. If our team has the right mentality and drive we should win this game but they have to play their best game to beat the giants. On both sides of the ball.

A message to packer fans from a packer fan, im reading the comments and half of you seem a lil too confident and the other half seem a lil too scared. By now you guys should know what this team is about. the one word that would describe this team is confident. Confident but not aroganet. We know the offense has supreme confidence to score and they proved it all season and we know our defense gives up a lot of yards passing consistently and sometimes on the ground too but we also know that they take away the ball consistently and the proved it all season. This is there formula of winning and it has worked very good. They are who they are dont expect any more or any less. It want be easy but they will get the job done just like all season believe in them dont worry let them do there job and enjoy it!!

All everyone has been talking about is Drew Brees and the Saints, or Tim Teebow, or the NY Giants. And, I can’t believe anyone would consider awarding the MVP to any player other than Rodgers. Use the lack of national respect as motivation boys. The Pack is rested and ready. Bring it on Eli, Drew, Mr. Harbaugh and who ever else. Green Bay will be the 1st team to go to back to back Super Bowls 3 times. And they will win their 5th!

Eddie R. Yep your top 2 WR have more yds. But don’t forget Jennings sat out the last 3 games. Also, total up all the WR’s and GB has 2,000 plus more yds than NY and 1 other little thing. GB has 51 receiving TD’s, NY has 29, just a wee bit better in GB. Don’t get me wrong, it will be a good game. Most likely close also. But give me Rodgers or Eli? Both QB’s are capable of taking their teams down the field and scoring. If the Packers are going to win this game they are really going to have to be alert on the offensive line to protect Rodgers and they are going to have to step up their pass rush and the defensive backfield better be ready and waiting. No overlooking this game against a very good NY team. It’s impossible to gauge the talent of the Giants by what we saw yesterday against an unprepared, poorly coached Falcons team. Also, throw the last game against NY out the window, it’s a whole different ball game now. I am convinced that Capers has been waiting for the playoffs to unleash a defense that will surprise the entire league on Sunday. Why reveal what you have during the regular season when your offense can win 15 games for you? We know that the Pack can take the ball away, and we know that Eli throws INTs. The Packers running game is coming around, the O-Line has improved, the team is healthy,is experienced, has a great QB with multiple weapons, and the Pack are at home. I like the Packers chances of advancing to the NFC Championship Game. Should be fun! Go Pack Go…

Watched the game closely yesterday, the reality is: The Packers are definately not the Falcons. You obviously don’t know football. The Giants are good (even tho they had to struggle to get in} but the Packers are Great! Good luck tho. This might be the last season you’ll have a chance; too many other teams coming around in the NFC.

    @ Big Cheese

News flash (because you know NOTHING about football)…

Your Packers squeeked into the playoffs last year (exactly the same as The Giants – win thier last 2 and they’re in)…

Sitting on your nice 15-1 record won’t help you when a team much hungrier than yours comes to town. I’ll be looking for you in the stands… you’ll be the one covering your face in shame!

Everyone else that commented here as a Giant’s fan has been respectful and used tact, something neither of you seem capable of. How old are you, 12…maybe 16? No? That’s a common trait of NYC folk. And the Giants.

LMFAO @ AMERICAS TEAM. Boy I can see who are the real Packer fans talking football on here. I can see the IDIOT Packer fans who only wears the hat and don’t know anything about the game because they only wear the hat to look cool around their friends lmfao. I guarantee you that the Packers didn’t want the Giants to win they would rather play Atlanta to have that easy road to the SB. To all you fake packer fans like I said who only wears the hat for you to even think this game is going to be a easy win well I guess you really are scared in your bodies. Real Packer fans know that this game with the Giants is not going to be a easy walk in the park your defense give a lot of points up and our pass rushers are looking very scary the last 3 weeks now that Perry finally has all the pieces of the puzzle playing all together. The question will be for the Packers who will you double on defense and take your chances with Boley,Tuck,JPP,Osi,,Canty, and so on lmfao you can’t double everyone so you can expect Rodgers to be smacked around like the Giants did in the first game. Not to mention is not easy beating a team 2 times in 1 year. To those that are talking about the weather please we play in the outside and our weather is just as cold at times. Don’t go counting your wins very fast like most of you who are already looking past the Giants that 15-1 record no longer means nothing now you are in the second round and every team is @ 0 except for the ones who won this weekend. Any given Sunday and believe me look at the Broncos who knocked the Steelers out who would have thought that lmfao. So yeah we are looking forward to our rematch with the Packers and I know is going to come down to a dog fight till the very last second next week.

We’ll get the last laugh. Manning will be picked three times, one for a TD! I believe the D will show up BIG on sunday. Everyone thinks that the D is our demise. Not true. New Englands D is ranked right there with ours, yet we lost one game, and that’s because the chiefs slowed down Rodgers, and not because the D didn’t show. Four field goals and a Td in the fourth is nothin’ to hang your head down for. #1 ranked in takeaways this year. Not bad. Those takeaways leads to scoring opportunities. Beat a dysfunctional jets team, overrated Cowboys team without Murray and a falcons team not good on the road along with an overrated QB who cant win in the playoffs. If th Giants beat the Saints 1st round or beat the Lions 24-2 then we could hype it up the way it is.

I’m sure you don’t mind being there dispite the worst regular season record in the NFC playoffs. And a whole game ahead of the AFC’s Broncos who didn’t even have a winning record. But you can probably explain why. Second, congrats on sending a guy to the Pro Bowl from your offense. We’re as surprized as you are. Third, your highly tauted defense is also sending one guy. Same number as AZ, PHL, SEA, WAS. Puts you in a special class (like G-Men and Eddie R ride special busses). Even more impressive when you consider it’s only one less player than the powerhouses DAL and MIN. Fourth, Although you have no probowler on special teams, you will be educated Sunday by a ver Special Team..

Only three of 45 Super Bowl champions, produced a Passer Rating Differential of less than +7.8. The Giants had a 6.8.

Over 90% of champions rank in the top 5. Green Bay has won the title 6 out of 6 times it has been ranked #1 since 1960. This years top 5….Green Bay 42, Saints, 24.1, Texans 23.7, Patriots 19.6, and Steelers 18.

The Packers have beaten all of the NFC playoff teams this year except one, SF who has a PRD of 17.8. The Packers are at home where their PRD is 45.7.

My projection is that the Patriots prevail with home field and a comparable PRD. The Packers prevail with home field and the best PRD in the league, by far. The Packers beat the Patriots in the SB.

Pierre-Paul 100 percent sure the Giants will win. Let’s see how that works out. And the question was raised in this thread about the Packers being overconfident. The Pack will have a brilliant game plan on both sides of the ball to put this one away. Go Pack!

The Defense needs to show up this week! I think Dom Capers needs to get Vic So’oto in the lineup more often. If the D-line can be more productive and take some of the pressure off of Matthews so he can get in Eli’s face more often – it’ll take more pressure off of the secondary and force more picks. Let’s go D – time to put out!!!

iam apacker fan and proud to be one.ithink the packers will win it.if the packers score twice ,then they will have to pass more than run the plays ,this will give packers defence the upper hand by intercepting them and will confuse their plans by trying to catch up with packers offence.

Wow what a thread…236 comments. Big Cheese, Mr. Reality, Cali and the rest of you Packer faithful are awesome. Great rebuttals to some mental “GIANTS” (Giants capped intentionally for full sarcastic effect) who obviously were left for long periods while young with their pacifiers stuck in their chops waiting for another NY championship. I really find the pre-ten year-old witticisms best where the troll personally attacks our players…I.E Clay Mathews being gay. As some Packers fans have hit on in their comments, these posts are most likely submitted by one individual who is crying out for a hug and has no concept of football or true fandom.
This game will most likely be close between two teams that match up very well. We are both getting players back who can and do impact the game. The winner will be the one who imposes the stronger will against the player he faces throughout the game. We can talk stats all day…but in the end the stronger heart prevails. We lost at KC for that reason and it was also the only game where our D created no turnovers. We must create turnovers and stay consistent on offense as we have all year long. Starks will be a nice shot in the arm for our run game and Saine is coming along with fresh legs. Don’t count out Grant either for our run game…he’s healthier now than last year before being injured.
I still maintain that Capers has held back this year on his d-schemes. When you watch our rush it is mainly straight forward helmet to helmet with little stunting or moving to rush through a hole for an easy path to the QB. Count on Capers unleashing the beasts and our Packers allowing fewer points than we have been in the regular season. Good luck to Giant fans who have expressed themselves with decency…to the rest I will reserve my true sentiments. In the end though the Packers win…sorry NY bring on the Saints/San Fran winner.

I was gonna write something to make you look stupid again, but then I thought; you’ve done a good enough job yourself. Idea for you G-spot: since this is a football blog, why not offer some insight into why you think the Giants can beat the Packers? There’s no creedence in any of your imput to support your agruement. Another idea: since you’re such a big G-spot fan, they actually have a site where most real NY fans gather and talk about their team. Not many people on it for obvious reasons, but you might find others who possess the same intellect as you. Just a suggestion fairy boy.

Your arguement for your team is exactly what I expected; personal attacks directed at the Green Bay Packers and their fans. Absolutely no subsistence, and nothing related to the game on Sunday. It’s quite apparent that you have no knowledge of football. You’re simply an attention seeker who has multiple psychological issues. We’ll talk again if you can be respectful and you can explain in a logical way why you think the Giants have a chance against the Champs. By the way, why the hell aren’t you in school where you’re supposed to be? And trust me on this, you wouldn’t want to meet me.

    G-String:
Against my own principles I have decided to respond to your infantile diatribes in these hallowed pages of Packer lore and fandom. G-string if you turned right from now on you would still be left of reality. Your stupidity rings clear for all to see as you pen that poison from inside that lump on top your shoulders. Clearly you are the victim of neglect, ridicule, and isolation which clouds any semblance of rationality or intelligence with the words and phrases you script. I especially enjoy the witty one liner you copy ad-nausea that we all must scroll past to find someone worthy to read and respond to. I sit in amazement that our moderator allows this childish copy/paste text to prevail in the Packer blog where avid fans gather to discuss football.

Thanks Big Cheese and Green Bay Poud you are both too kind. Yes by all means let’s get down to some football. Just seeing those scenes of the fans and grounds folks clearing the field brings goose bumps and starts my head numbing. If I lived in Green Bay and didn’t even have a ticket for this Sunday’s game, I’d still shovel that snow for free just to take in that rarified air inside Lambeau…a site sadly these eyes have never seen. Soon my friends I will experience that joy and hopefully while our boys are still building that legend of dynasty which transcends time and is never lost in NFL lore.

G-men or Giants or whatever you call yourself at this time of day, have you ever really read what you put on this site? Are you proud? Does it reflect the real you and what you have to offer. Well, maybe it does.Everyone knows what you are, son. And the more you write, the more you prove it. I am surprized the moderator lets your nonsense stay. (He’ll probably delete my next comment I’ll send later) But you have to understand something. I’ll keep it simple so you can understand. It’s one thing to go around and embarrass yourself, hey, that’s you and that’s what you do. But it’s gotten to the point that now you have everyone else embarrassed for you. I don’t want others feeling embarrassed for you. That’s your own job here. As far as calling out BIG CHEESE, I’ll address that later, but that action alone is typical Giants fan. The Giants have bitten off more than they can chew by taking on the Pack, exactly like you have bitten off more than you could possibly chew with BIG CHEESE.. Come-on, grow up. Try to use both those brains cells…

Not to beat a dead horse (or a dead brain) but G-Men, there is a reason I’m called Mr. Reality. I deal in reality. I don’t sit back and hide behind a computer to write baseless garbage. I don’t pretend to be something I’m not. And I sure don’t call out people in the cloak of anonymity and safety of my mother’s basement. I know BIG CHEESE very well. I don’t think there will be a problem in hooking you two up to ‘discuss’ football. You sure won’t do it here. I have a car and he has a car in case you don’t have your license yet. We can talk about a meeting place so we can kind of get to know each other on my e:mail address. I am not far from NYC, if that’s where you are. Drop me a line at gmenreality@gmail.com. The Packers owe us fans an apology for their less than stellar performance. They gave the game away today to a vastly inferior team. I have seen high school players drop fewer passes than the Packers did today.

  274. By Ed McKane on Jan 15, 2012 | Reply

    James Nesmith
I wouldn’t characterrize the Giants as being vastly inferior but on this day ball handling by Green Bay was bad. It seemed to me that the Packers started celebrating a super bowl win in mid December and never got their collective heads into today’s game. And whats with the left side of the Packers pass defense ? Everytime Manning needed a clutch third down he would throw left and beat the corner, the half or the safety. The Packers weak defense was masked by a very potent offense most of the season, except for today.
