Rodgers wins NFL 101 Award

Posted by Mike Spofford on January 17, 2012 – 2:32 pm

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been named the NFC’s offensive player of the year among the recipients of this year’s NFL 101 Awards.

Rodgers’ counterpart as the AFC offensive player of the year was New England QB Tom Brady. Minnesota DE Jared Allen and Baltimore LB Terrell Suggs won the NFC and AFC defensive awards, while San Francisco’s Jim Harbaugh and Houston’s Gary Kubiak were the two coaches honored.

A national media committee, comprised of 101 sportswriters and broadcasters who cover the NFL, selected the winners in each award category in a nationwide vote at the conclusion of the regular season.

The award winners will be presented trophies at the 42nd annual NFL 101 Awards gala in Kansas City on March 3.

    @ Hippster

    What’s worse is your continuing nuisance on our blog and the incessant droning of shallow quips. Sort of like an uninvited fly buzzing around the room or a stray dog that refuses to leave even after swatted on the nose. I’ll give you credit for one thing…you are persistent. Maybe your handle should be Mutster since you are faithful as a dog to our blog…yes that fits nicely. What say you Packer faithful’s?

    @hippster

    Nice swat Alaska!

    I suppose there could be a chance at friendship…should you change your discourse and bring something noteworthy to our blog. As for pen pals…nothing you have uttered so far leads me to believe you are capable of interaction at the adult level.
