Donald ‘rocks it’ during rock week

Donald Driver Dancing with the Stars

Much different than his “first down shimmy” on the field, WR Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd showcased the quick-paced Paso Doble and scored 27 points out of 30 on this season’s fourth episode of “Dancing with the Stars.”

With this week’s grade, Driver and his mate continue to climb in scoring starting in week 1 with 21 points, and in subsequent weeks 24, 26 and now 27, with a combined score of 98.

The Paso Doble translates from Spanish to the “double step” and Packers Donald Driver hardly missed a step as he played the part of ‘matador’ in this Latin American dance during the “rock week” themed episode.

Jimi Hendrix played as the Spanish bull fighting dance was appreciated by the judges. Many of the dancing comments were positive and many focused on Donald’s “shirtless” wardrobe.

Referring to Donald’s passion on the dance floor, Len Goodman said, “No one can accuse you of holding back. Without a doubt it’s your best dance.”

Carrie Ann Inaba added, “It’s one of the most memorable moments of the season.”

Eliminations continue on “Dancing with the Stars.” Viewers can vote via phone and text message for Donald only on the night he performs; online voting ends at 10 a.m. CT the following day. Log on to abc.com to vote.
