Jennings ruled out again

Posted by Mike Spofford on October 19, 2012 – 3:16 pm

WR Greg Jennings was ruled out on Friday due to his groin injury for a third straight game. Jennings hasn’t played since re-injuring his groin on a TD catch against New Orleans in Week 4.

Mike McCarthy said he was “hopeful” Jennings could return to the field next week.

The rest of the offensive players on the Packers’ injury report are listed as probable, meaning barring something unforeseen they’ll be available to play. That list includes TE Jermichael Finley (shoulder), RB Alex Green (shoulder), QB Aaron Rodgers (calf) and TE D.J. Williams (hamstring).

I don’t have any issues with Greg sittin the Rams game. Actually, I would sit him until after the open date. Need him for the stretch run !!!!

I think that’s a good idea. Just wait for his injury to heal and then he’ll be back. Stop thinking that he’s never gonn’a heal and give him to the jets, just wait. You can’t take away a QB’s MVP, I mean, he’ll probably pick Cobb as his new MVP but still. Here’s what I think, just wait for Jennings to get old, (like driver for example) or maybe not that old, like 32, then pick a new MVP. But still don’t get rid of him. Wait for him to get better and during that time you can have a different MVP, but when he’s better, pick him up again. My point is, just wait. Hey, maybe in the end, when Jennings is better, it’ll all come down to the Super Bowl. And maybe it could make a difference with one guy, like getting two touchdowns in the Super Bowl again. Jennings. But again, wait. I really like Jennings so don’t just get rid of him. Wait. GO PACK GO!

Having a groin injury takes a long time to go away. I have had same problem. Unfortunitly jennings will be out longer than we want. I hope he has a good therapist.

I only injure groins when I kick and prod them!

For TE, I say start with Williams, follow with Crabby and then Taylor. I’m not too excited about Quarles’ potential comeback. Neither he nor Jermichael do well with catches or YAK… so what is the attraction, their blocking?
