Greg Jennings’ surgery ‘went very well’

Posted by Mike Spofford on November 1, 2012 – 2:06 pm

WR Greg Jennings had surgery on his abdominal muscle on Thursday, Mike McCarthy confirmed, two days after it was originally scheduled.

Jennings had the procedure done in Philadelphia, where the specialist he visited last week resides. His surgery was postponed two days due to the East Coast storm.

McCarthy said he was told Jennings would be out a minimum of a couple of weeks. Jennings has not played since Week 4 against New Orleans.

“The procedure went very well,” McCarthy said.

Mike Neal returns to practice

Posted by Mike Spofford on November 1, 2012 – 12:28 pm

Packers DE Mike Neal, who left last Sunday’s game with an ankle injury and missed Wednesday’s practice, was back on the practice field in pads on Thursday during the portion of the workout open to reporters.

Other than that, no other changes injury-wise appeared to be forthcoming. Mike McCarthy said on Wednesday that both FB John Kuhn and WR Jordy Nelson, who have hamstring injuries, would possibly practice on Friday at the earliest.
