I’m glad none of you run this Packers team. Calling a draft pick a bust because he’s gone through a horrible injury. Yeah he was a rookie and didn’t do so hot as a rookie. Thats a big suprise to you people? Give me a break. Oh yeah and we should have paid Scott Wells so he could eat up cap space while on IR too. Makes alot of sense. We have an oline that is beat up with a back up and a guy playing out of position. Giants have one of the best if not the best D-line in the league. They will get their protections schemes figured out and game plan to help the oline as much as possible. Our defense hinges around Clay Matthews once he’s back they will be fine too. It’s one game guys give it a rest.

Yep, I agree Sherrod needs to Man-up at this point. If he can’t stop anything better than we have now, then tell him to pack his bags so we can make room for someone who CAN play

Well it looks to be a no brainer now after the giant loss we need all the help we can get.Forget the IR.Put him in uniform and see what happens.

I hate reading these comments after a loss. So many packer fans become uncontrollably nasty. Hopefully its a just venting about the loss because I would hate to live in a world where so many lack a heart. Time to see the wizard people.

I hate to think that sherrod still has a long football career ahead of him because the first part of it has been spent getting beat like a drum on the field and apologizing to his quarterback everytime he was sacked because of him.

If he finds another team with the depth at offensive line that green bay doesn’t have, and that can be patient with him while he grows into the offensive player that we were all promised we were getting after the draft so be it, i wish him all of the best. But being short on the O-line and keeping someone on the roster who is ultimately going to occupy a spot that should go to someone that can produce is just ridiculous.

here is another fine example of TT’s poor drafting abilities. This guy is 330 pounds of chewed bubblegum. he isn’t even an athlete. He is a mass of fat and add an injury in there and look what you have. You have another Justin Harrell on your hands. Another fine bust Ted. way to go. Maybe we can get Rich Moran and Hallstrom to come out of retirement I am sure they could do better at this point. See what happens when you don’t pay guys like a Scott Wells. Comes back to haunt you doesn’t it?

OK first off to the Sherrod haters, He was a ROOKIE last year and there was no training camp because of the lock out! Not many rookie linemen performed all that well last year. Im not going to judge a rookie on a few game performance followed by a devestating injury. He is still young and full of potential. Just look at Mike Neal, he was injury devestated his first few years and now he is playing pretty solidly.

Sherrod , although it was only his first year last year, did absolutly nothing for the offensive line
He is an option in name only as he has no real expereince and now he has the baggage of the injury…look at the games last year and see where the line collapsed and what he missed…Sherrod = qb sack

Aaron, I am glad to see at least one intelligent and reasonable person here. The prognosis for this kind of injury is usually over a year, and that’s for a normal person, not an NFL lineman. So many are questioning his heart, but how is he supposed to react if he’s struggling? I think MM knew it was a long shot when the activated him to practice.

Jeff, what would make you think that TT panicked? has he EVER panicked on draft day otherwise? No. he didn’t here, either.

Like Fubard said when he came in as a rookie he showed no heart. Nice try TT, good solid lineman, smart enough to paly O-line, but no desire. I thing the decision is if we have no other options, we will have to put him on the roster, otherwise let’s see if he comes back next seaon and wants to play. I see nothing in Sherrod the Pack can count on.

you people criticizing Sherrod do realize that many players who have had this exact same injury have never played again. this wasn’t just a simple broken ankle he torn tendons and also had some nerve damage. maybe you should actually do some research as opposed to just spouting off at the mouth

It would be nice to have Sherrod as an option, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Reading between the lines of the few comments about Sherrod, I get the feeling the thought is that he’s not motivated enough. Not a good sign.

Wow. I sure didn’t here any strong desire to play coming out of his mouth. Its OK one way or the other means he must be leaning towards not playing is a good thing?
Yes his injury was major but its been over a year and he still isn’t ready.
He wasn’t anything to brag about when he was healthy and the fact is his leg broke when a D lineman ran through him forcing him to the ground like he wasn’t there says something about his ability’s.
Hope the Pack cut their loses with this guy. I can say one thing about the Vikes over the years, if you can’t perform they get rid of you, they don’t keep you around unless they see a lot of promiss.

Sherrod was awful last year. He was definately a reach by TT and I think TT panicked and grabbed the last OL that was rated as a day 1 pick. Sherrod is a teddy bear who has no passion for the game. Reminds me of Jamal Reynolds, same demeanor. He will be cut as soon as the Packers decide to move on. This guy is of no value so start combing FA or the practice squad
