That’s the ??????????? Seriously, folks. No offense to ‘Doc’ and “the New guys”, who ARE doing very well, but it seems to be pretty much a no-brainer. Why don’t we just wait and see how Wood does and take it from there ? Besides, the youngsters might WANT to see the Master in action, practicing what he preaches/teaches. Sounds like a win-win. He’s got a bit left in the tank and will lay it all on the line every chance he gets. He’s earned the right to get a chance. Go get ‘em. Wood. He elevated everyone’s game. Al Harris was good before Charles came, and he became a Pro Bowler while Charles was there. Same thing for Tramon and Nick Collins. Along with some very good coaching, Charles Woodson is responsible for elevating the game of these players. Sam Shields and Casey Hayward are next. Woodson treats these guys like men, not boys. I like what when Charles is asked to comment on another player when they have a couple of interceptions… “that’s what we get paid to do…make plays”.

We, the fan’s, of which some are Owners, are hoping the Packers are honest about Woodson’s return.

Wood’s being penalized more this year is not an opinion. Unfortunately, it is a fact. His physicality makes him special and one of the many reason why we love him. However, he’s been too physical with receivers before they catch the ball, not after. My question is why?. Why this year more resulting in more flags than any other year?. My Fear is the Packers will view this as him being over the hill and not return him given the good play of the younger guy’s

Charles doesn’t play Cornerback anymore. He’s a roving Safety used strategically on blitz packages. The man is a true warrior and a Green Bay Packer for life. His mentality is EXACTLY what we need in the playoffs, ESPECIALLY when the going starts to get a little rough in hostile settings like SF and ATL. The man doesn’t get intimidated. He’s a machine!

Woodson’s penalties are a product of playing a lot closer to that edge than most DBs.. Also in knowing when to draw the flag rather than give up the TD. Many DBs can’t cover close enough to draw a penalty even if they WANTED to.

Woodson is one of the few players whose jersey I wouldn’t hesitate to wear besides Rodgers and Matthews. CW is going to be a first ballot hall of famer and possibly one of the best corners to ever play the game! He can do things on defense not many other corners in the league can do. Also like Chris Berman would say “and oh btw” Woodson’s career isn’t over yet. Even though he’s not playing right now, I believe when he comes back, he will make a huge impact on defense to help for a playoff and superbowl run!

When Woodson comes back, he’ll instantly improve the defense. Hayward will stay in the slot, allowing Woodson to help Burnett more at the other safety. Wood doesn’t have to play 8 positions anymore because other guys are starting to step up- he can play safety and dimeback, and trust me, he will excel. He still has A LOT left in the tank.

I agree with someone below me that said that Woodson isn’t afraid to be physical. Yes, I’ve noticed that sometimes he can’t keep up but that’s why he’ll be extra physical. How many other players in the league can you say the same for? They’d rather cheat than impose their will on the receiver they’re defending. Woodson would, and mark my words, give the D some extra ability to pick the ball off and stop the run. He’s not afraid to stick his nose in there and you very well should know that, as a “TRUE” Packers fan. Who we’re teams scared of when he was D.P.O.Y.? Collins was 2nd on the Pack in INT’s that year because they began to regret throwing to Woodson and tried throwing somewhere else. I hope Woodson comes back and solidifies the SS position cuz we all know he’d be an upgrade and help our D be–can you believe it–even better!

He has always given 100% and the Packers know and respect him for that. M.M. will play him when the time is right . The new guys are learning and that will benefit the Pack in the future. Woodson was the most penalized defensive player in the NFC before his injury, and the younger guy’s have stepped in and getting better every game.

Noone is hating on Charles Woodson. Charles was an excellent player and an even better player. Unfortunately, his game has deminished and younger players are ready to replace him. He has so many penalties when he plays because he can’t keep up with opposing reievers and his tackling is terrible. TRUE Packer fans want winners and are willing to admit when players need to be replaced. If we are to stay loyal to all veterans, we are only kidding ourselves. Charles had a great career and gave everything to this team. Wish himm the best and let him go.
