Well another season down the toilet. Two stupid mistakes, a defense that is defenseless and MM talks about adversity. Again one person disrupts a whole defense. Come on! Time for some change in Packerland.

Ross’s fumble was huge. We could have gone into half time up 7 or maybe even 10. Time of possession was horrible. We need a running game. Quit keeping players just because for what they did in the past i.e. Driver, Woods on. You need young blood.

Yes we sure did reload! On two losing seasons in the Playoffs! Bravo, great job MM and the Pack! Just tired of losing!

As a longtime Packer fan living in the Chicago area, I’m used to “adversity”. While watching last night’s meltdown, I thought how similar the Packer’s situation may be to the Bear’s in that both teams had “half” a head coach….Lovie never thought about offense, McCarthy never thinks about defense. Does Packerdom really believe Dom Capers is the answer? A QUARTERBACK RUNS FOR OVER 180 YDS in a PLAYOFF GAME? I’m beginning to believe 2010 was an abberation.

No matter how much our media reporters tell us how good we are, we all knew we’d get beaten by the 49er’s. We still don’t have a defense that can stop the run, that was proven several times this year and we still really don’t have a running game. Although, I like Harris. (What happened to him in the 3rd. qtr?) I guessed we’d have to score 45 to points to win the game last night and I was off by at least one point. So, what do we need out of the draft?

  6. By Robert Ossig on Jan 13, 2013 | Reply

Agree John. I know football is a sport, but, it’s also a business . I’m soooo tired of teams breaking records/yards gained/sacks, against the PACKERS ! Doesn’t the front office see this ? I too believe it’s time for a change, especially on the defense side of the ball. Mike stop coaching with your heart and use your head. D Capers has got to GO, if you expect to get beyond playoffs and into the big game in February next year. 180 YDs rushing by a QB, with no adjustments made at halftime ???? Unacceptable !

I am not savvy regarding football but last nights game was truly disappointing. Statements were made that lead the fans to believe the defense was prepared for a running quarterback. Obvious Capers missed the memo

My suggestion is simple fire Capers and interview Lovy Smith. He is very defense savvy. Wouldn’t that be interesting to have him playing in Green Bay.

  8. By Tjc on Jan 13, 2013 | Reply

It’s Thompson and Mcarthy that need to be fired

Rodgers should worry about playing football instead of making stupid tv commercials

i always thought football was a TEAM SPORT.what i saw was the randal cobb show………year after year after year we packer fans get let down by a egotistical coach and a huge moron in the booth…hey mm and the rest of the front office, take two weeks off and quit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. By 4dingos on Jan 13, 2013 | Reply

Dom Capers is not the answer two years of playoff failure is enough and does anyone else think that MM needs the playbook taken away from him and maybe then he can focus on both sides of the football.

  12. By Bandana Dan on Jan 13, 2013 | Reply

Alright everyone, bring the heat on Dom, he deserves some of it, but not all of it. DuJuan disappeared in the 2nd half because McCarthy got anxious and went away from a running game that was doing pretty well (at least at keeping the SF linebackers honest). Thereafter our offense was not effective. All the analysts said if it came ot a shootout the Niners were doomed, but it came to a shootout and while Colin performed only slightly better through the air, his legs are stronger, younger, and faster. Colin outscored Aaron; endgame.

Back to defense, why didn’t we put a man on QB spy? Why did we keep using zone drops when that scheme allowed an 8 yard completion every time? Why did every man-on-man scheme omit Kaepernick? Maybe that early interception was actually a negative in the mindsets of our defensive players, as they looked lack-luster the remainder of the game. Matthews wasn’t fast enough for Kaepernick and Woodson didn’t manage to find him often enough.

A last point: the muffed punt was arguably a 14 point play in-and-of-itself. We simply were not strong enough to have our way with SF after a mistake like that.

Either way, we got chewed up and our season is done, but I wouldn’t take any guff from anyone suggesting it was blowout. San Fran ran off in the end, but it was never a blowout.

As for the rest of the playoffs, I hope other Pack fans can join me in cheering Russell Wilson and the Hawks to more victories.

As for next year, lets get some strength on the O-line and get someone with speed and discipline on our defense whose long hair won’t occasionally blind them to where the ball is.

  13. By Big Cheese on Jan 13, 2013 | Reply

Very depressing,Packers got slapped silly; two mistakes, and letting a rookie qb run wild, as if they didn’t think that was going to happen. Still love the Green & Gold though, even though it will take some time to get over this….

Once again, we sit disappointed in a great year of accomplishments this Packer team has provided us in the form of entertainment. Lets not forget, it is entertainment, that we fans take really personally. We all want perfection, and so do the players, so first, lets thank them for a great year of giving us another shot at it. We are a few decisions away..that are tough decisions no doubt. It has to start by looking in the mirror, and realizing defenses win games. We have to start there. We have an offense, and great weapons, and great coaching. We suck on defense, week in and week out. Again, you cannot expect your offense to score 31 points and lose. Start with Capers, and bring in a new mind, some fresh blood, with the determination to make a difference on defense. Capers is old school, in a new age of football. We need new age thinking, to take us to the next level. Thanks again Pack-See you in the Fall!!!

Been a fan for years. Something has to be done on the defensive side obviously. I hate to say this but I am really beginning to wonder if Capers can help get us to another SuperBowl. Tackling is terrible. I am glad we made the playoffs but would like to see us win it all soon.

that’s a touching post you made woodro, that should make you sleep better knowing that your team can’t hold it’s own in the playoffs. The only reason you won that game against Adrian Peterson is because it was 11 players against one. And he still made you look like fools in the regular season. Stick to making pizza commercials, DISCOUNT DOUBLE CHOKE!

well I do think Capers has outlived his skills but I think people are not seeing the obvious. Kevin Greene needs to adjust or go away. Everyone knows what Clay’s job is but the other linebackers are clueless about where to play. They are always out of position. Linebackers are the key to defense. How many times have we watched them loose the edge and 30 yards later maybe a safety macks a tackle

Just couldnt stop the run in two of the last three games. Something must be done to address. Tough with 32 teams but hey we were in the playoffs and sometimes it does take a little luck to go all the way. Hard to digest this loss but the 49ers were much better. Firing Capers might not help either. We need better defensive players. Lets cross our fingers for the draft. Still Love The Green And Gold.
