Despite the fact I live in Vermont, I am a HUGE Packer Fan and share holder since 1997. I visit training camp every summer and enjoy Green Bay’s many offerings. My one great mement was meetng Donald Driver one day after a practice. He was generous with his time and wished my friend, who was battling cancer, the very best outcome for his illness. Driver also told my friend to “never stop fighting”. Driver’s comments had a deep impact on my friend and I.

Dear Mr. Donald “the illustrious DD” Driver,
You showed & proved what a true-to-heart, real person is, again & again, both on & off the field. You will always be a Packer, whether or not you play football in the 2013 season. But in whatever the future brings, we know you can & will, teach & inspire every Packer, current & future, and every man, woman & child, with the legacy you have given — and will always dwell, on the field & in the community we call Packerland & beyond — that there is always room for humility, and for trying harder for the person next to you, and for the fan in the stands, who marvel at the fact that you would RARELY be brought down by the first man, or one man alone. Others see how you give beyond what is expected, and it not only inspires, but makes those around you aspire to be better players & people themselves, in whatever they do. You always “go the extra yard” in whatever you do, whether on football fields, or in your highly-charitable, highly-lucrative giving, both in personality, person-ability, and dollar signs, without ever expecting, or needing any personal recognition. It so obviously shows, at every turn and in every effort you put forth. Whether fans are Packers, fans of the NFL, or fans of the great game of football at any or all levels, you have touched so many, and we thank you for your obvious dedication, inspiration & your constant BIG SMILE. You excelled at everything you did, and excel at everything you continue to do. You showed your greatest strength & humility on one of the greatest dancing stages in the television realm, as well as receiving the admiration of those you competed against, as so often has occurred in every endeavour of your life… How can, or could we, ever forget?
God Bless you & yours, and may He always keep you in his Grace. You’ve earned it!

    Signed,
Someone who has always marveled at your dedication, and esprit de corps.

    GO PACK GO!
