Josh Sitton added to NFC Pro Bowl roster

Posted by Mike Spofford on January 20, 2013 – 6:48 pm

Josh SittonPackers G Josh Sitton has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster. Sitton was a first alternate at guard, and he was named to the team on Sunday when the 49ers advanced to the Super Bowl. San Francisco G Mike Iupati — a Pro Bowl starter for the NFC — will not be participating in the all-star game.

It’s the first Pro Bowl nod for Sitton, who has been an alternate in the past. The Packers coaching staff is coaching the NFC squad for the second straight year. The Pro Bowl is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 27, in Hawaii.

Sitton started every game at right guard for the Packers this past season — all 16 in the regular season and both playoff contests.

Josh Sitton is our best O lineman so congrats to him for making the pro-bowl. We need to draft O-line, either guard or tackle so that we can get stronger up front. We also need Bulaga back healthy and hopefully Derrek Sherrod can make it back and show us why he was a first round draft pick. With a strong and healthy O line the Pack will be back again in 2013.

I feel sorry for Sitton going from Florida to Hawaii. It must be tough.

The O & D lines both need some help in 2013. Sign some proven talent and quit waiting for the mushrooms to grow.

I like mushrooms especially if they develop to be big, strong, and fast.

I like Sitton’s aggressiveness especially with the run. We need more OL like Jon and I believe we have another rising star that will be a great running blocker by the name of Barclay!
    Go Pack Go!

Finally after last year with both Rogers saying Sitton was our best OL, and Suh saying he was the toughest to play against, it’s about time he get Pro Bowl recognition!

Does anyone know why Clay Matthews pulled out? I heard it was due to an injury. What injury was that?? :(

Josh was a good, strong and durable guard throughout the season. He deserves this honor. Best wishes to him at the Pro Bowl.

I believe he is still dealing with a sore hamstring

While I’m not discrediting Josh’s achievements and play, I think the Pro Bowl, the game itself, is a joke.

The Pro Bowl is all about pad level.

I’m thinking that instead of the ProBowl being an actually football game, make it into a ability tournament. Take the top 5 voted players from each position, make them go throw agility abilities, and whomever gets the best score gets the trophy saynig they were the top player of that year. Sort of like an obstracal (sp) course.

What do you know of reptilian God beings? The TRUE Illuminati are mere puppets in an act of the grand wizard REPTILIANS and their dark, sinister yet clouded agenda. How the GREYS fit into this evil dance is under much speculation. YOUR FATE HAS ALREADY BEEN CAST BY THE ALMIGHTY REPTILIAN GOD BEINGS.

I don’t think anyone on our front line should be in the pro bowl considering Aaron Rogers has been sacked more than anyone this year and our running game was weak.
