Group of Packers joins Team Gleason in ALS fight
Posted by on January 28, 2013 – 2:04 pmFour Packers — Head Coach Mike McCarthy, QB Aaron Rodgers, LB Clay Matthews and C Jeff Saturday — contributed to the production of a new PSA to raise awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS, a disease that afflicts former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason.
You can view the PSA on Gleason’s “Team Gleason” website right here.
Gleason played for the Saints when McCarthy was offensive coordinator there. DB Charles Woodson also is participating in the effort, but he wasn’t featured in this first video release. Woodson is expected to be shown in an upcoming video.

And people truly believe there is an Almighty. After seeing this video, I can safely slip into atheism without remorse.

@Tarlam That’s a uneducated statement, let’s get something straight here, I’m pretty sure Steve Gleason’s ALS was caused by playing Football,he chose to play in the NFL,God gave everyone on earth free will,God didn’t plan for Gleason to have that disease nor for any other disease, tragedies or syndromes.
When Adam and Eve sinned, they sinned for all of us and Evil and Death entered the world causing pain and suffering.
In conclusion,it isn’t GOD’s fault,if you’re gonna blame someone,blame SATAN!

I’m proud to be a packer fan and of the guys that supported Steve’s efforts. I lost my wife of 37 years after a 17 month fight with ALS. Keep up the good work!

This is cool! We lost NFL great Pete Duranko to ALS just recently. He spent a lot of his time fundraising and raising awareness about ALS and was a great man!

I’m glad the Packers and the other football players and coaches are recognizing ALS. My dad died from ALS in 1977 when all of us kids were young. He is buried in Neenah with other family members. I visit them on the way to Green Bay. If you support charities consider one of the many that fight ALS. They have discovered a lot over the years.
