  • Sat., Apr. 26, 2014 8:00AM - 6:00PM CDT Packers Pro Shop Tent Sale

The sale is taking place earlier than in previous years, due to the construction at Lambeau Field and the work that the Pro Shop team must complete in preparation for the new store, which will open this summer. Visitors to Lambeau Field should enter the Atrium through the Oneida Nation Gate. Parking is available in the lot on Lambeau Field’s east side near the Oneida Nation Gate, which can be accessed off Oneida Street and Lombardi Avenue.

The sale will feature the traditional mix of Pro Shop items greatly reduced in price and other special purchases.

The team’s football operations staff also has provided Packers team apparel no longer in use, including a large assortment of t-shirts, shorts, jackets, jerseys and pants. Some items are practice-worn gear not normally available in the Pro Shop.

The tent sale began in 1994 in the parking lot outside the former Pro Shop on the north end of Lambeau Field and grew into a popular event. Now in its 11th year in the Atrium, the tent sale also was held in the west side stadium concourse in previous years.

Packers fan a VIP at NFL Draft after winning Barclays contest

Posted by packers.com on April 25, 2013 – 8:41 pm

New York – There are 23 top college prospects at Radio City Music Hall as VIPs for tonight’s NFL Draft. Longtime Packers fan Melissa Colgan is alongside them getting the same treatment as the grand prize winner of the Barclays 2013 NFL Draft Jersey Press Experience.

Colgan grew up in LaCrosse, Wis., and is now a resident of New York City. As a holder of the Packers Extra Points credit card, she won a national contest that gives she and a guest this exclusive access tonight. They are rubbing shoulders with NFL executives and the top draft picks. She’s also soaking in every moment.

“It’s fascinating to be behind the scenes, get an inside look and see how many people play a role in this,” Colgan said. “So many people have something to do with putting this event on, and it’s interesting to get an insider’s perspective.”

She’s being walked through Radio City Music Hall by Paul Zoppi, segment manager of the NFL Extra Points Program for Barclays.

“She’s seeing how it all happens,” said Zoppi, segment manager of the NFL Extra Points Program for Barclays. “She’s had the VIP tour and she’s seeing the names for each player pressed on the back of each jersey. Only a handful of people ever get to see this, so it’s very exclusive. The NFL is very protective of who is back there, but she is seeing how the whole process works.”

Colgan found out last week she won the contest, leaving her relatives back home in Wisconsin “incredibly jealous.” She has a sister who goes to Packers games several times each season, but while Colgan has visited Green Bay several times for training camp, she plans to come to her first game at Lambeau Field this season.

Colgan moved to New York to work as a style editor for a large publication. She’s used to attending big fashion events. The draft exceeds them all, and the VIP experience has obviously cranked it up a notch.

“I live in New York and I’m around crazy things all the time,” she said. “This has been wild, just to see the enthusiasm and the excitement. It’s crazy. The fans here are as excited about next season as I am.”

While the atmosphere has her primed for the upcoming season, perhaps the most fun tonight so far has been receiving the exclusive gifts.

“They actually sewed my name on the back of a jersey,” Colgan said. “It’s really great. They gave me my own hat. I’ve watched this on TV so many times, and now I’m really part of it.”
