Packers drive stalls after 50-yard completion

Posted by Vic Ketchman, packers.com editor on August 9, 2013 – 7:23 pm

GREEN BAY–Aaron Rodgers completed a 50-yard pass to James Jones that left the Packers with a first-and-goal at the Arizona 6-yard line, but the drive stalled when James Starks was stopped on fourth-and-goal from the 2-yard line. It was the Packers’ opening possession of the game and of the preseason, and left the game scoreless with 8:50 to play in the first quarter.

Coach Mike McCarthy unsuccessfully challenged the ruling that Starks was stopped shy of the goal line.

Packers.com will provide updates during tonight’s game between the Packers and Cardinals at Lambeau Field.
