Training camp look in: Botched snap gets coach reaction

Posted by Vic Ketchman, packers.com editor on August 13, 2013 – 1:06 pm

GREEN BAY–Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy sharpened his team’s focus on taking care of the football when, following a botched exchange from center in a team drill on Tuesday, McCarthy barked, “Start the period over.” The 18-minute period was half-complete when the clock was turned back to 18 minutes and re-started.

The crowds returned to Ray Nitschke Field on Tuesday, following a practice that was closed to the public on Monday. Running back Eddie Lacy appeared to be limited in his participation, after missing practice since the middle of last week during to a hamstring injury. Lacy also missed last Friday’s preseason opener. His chance of playing in St. Louis this week might have improved. First-round draft choice Datone Jones did not dress out for practice. He sustained a sprained ankle in Friday’s 17-0 loss to Arizona.

Packers.com will provide a full injury report and details from practice following its conclusion.
