Well deserved. Have been watching him this year and was very happy to see him doing so well. As a lifelong Bama fan, always enjoy it when those young men from the Capstone do well at the next level. Roll Tide and Go Packers!

Way to go Eddie! Now be smart, go watch the PBS Frontline episode about concussions in the NFL and the beating your brain takes (concussions or not), and retire. I loved watching this year, but your future is more important than pro football.

Woohoo, way to go, Eddie! I wonder if David Bakhtiari was even in the running for rookie LT?

Eddie is the man..now if we change our play caller .. Eddie will have not have to run out the half …and injury his ankle, on such silly calls,.

Bakhtiari had a stellar rookie campaign. As did Micah Hyde. I’m kind of surprised that neither one made the cut.

  28. By David From NC on Jan 15, 2014 | Reply

What makes this honor even greater is Lacy ran a lot on a bad ankle and missed time from a concussion and not to mention Rodgers was out for 8 games!

Great job Eddie Lacy!! You really deserve this honor, as you carried the Packers on your shoulders this year! Take some much needed rest and I hope you get the salary that you’ve earned! :)

Fluker and Pugh are listed as ROT’s…this list is bogus! Bachtiari was only rookie to start at LOT this year. How does he get left off this list?

Huge congratulations, Eddie! It was great fun watching you play this year. Many more honors to come, I’m sure. Stay healthy and come roaring back next season. We’re looking forward to it.

They’ll find out he’s juicing and take away the award. I just know it.

Go ahead and say, I’m a greedy, bloviating, or undiplomatic, BUT, you can’t say I’m being illogical…

Since Eddie Lacy received the PFWA Rookie of the Year award, how can someone else get the PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year award?

49ers def look like muscle beach. pack def gets off bus. they limping. ready for fat farm. And its late september. as rod stewart says!

  42. By mathew cottrell on Jan 24, 2014 | Reply

Noo way dude. When Rodgers went down lacy was the packers whole offense…Keenan Allen never once was the workhorse.of his offense this year….the game.Rodgers.got hurt lacy went off for 150 yards. Against Dallas he had 141 and winning TD.and how many -1 or 1 yard runs did lacy turn into 4 or 5 yard gains….and let’s be honest. The packers.offensive line lloked weak the past few years until they got this beast.of a RB to make th3m.look better…..lacy is the clear.cut ROY in my eyes…..

  43. By mathew cottrell on Jan 24, 2014 | Reply

Don’t get me wrong tho Keenan Allen did have a great year and deserves to be in the discussion….but he.just didn’t seem as important to his offense as.lacy. I think Ryan Matthews.deserves a lot if credit for bringing the 8th defender down in the box because he had a breakout year..and that’s what opened up Allen in my opinion. Lacy was running against stacked boxes the whole time Rodgers was.gone
