Headshots, without a helmet? I thought the NFL was working to reduce cranial injuries.

I enjoy reading the blogs as well as anything else (Packers) I can get my hands on. At 75 I have a few years of history with the Packers also. Born and raised in G.B. Attended my 1st game when I was 8 at they old City Stadium. Boosted over the old wood fence (northeast corner) and found an empty seat to sit in. I watched many of the old greats but remember seeing Wizzer White run a kickoff back for a TD. Tony Canadeo a firend of my dads on his retirement day in 1952. The Packers retired his jersey “3” and gave him a new 1952 Chevy green convertible. A few years later I sold Hot Dogs for a quarter for Wally Proski. He hired me when he herd me say “Hay Hot Dogs here, they brush your teeth, curl your hair and make you feel like a millionaire.” Back then we only offered mustard no catsup. Later Pat McVey and I were given 2 season tickets each from Jerry Atkinson and held them for a number of years. We just returned from a visit to G.B. yesterday. We were in town for our family visit. I had the honor to take my 7 year old Dakota (foster son soon to be adopted) for his 1st visit to Lambeau. And, the Pro Shop also. I also took him around town and to old City Stadium explained what it looked like in my days. We visited Curly’s birth place also. Its good for “Ole Timmers like me” to talk about those times. I later served 15 years as an elected County Board Supervisor, Dist. 5. Vic, keep your Packer Info its great to read your articles. If any of you get to visit Winter Haven FL come to 16th St NE and look for the Packer Flag on the front of the house.
