GREEN BAY–Eddie Lacy didn’t participate in practice on Wednesday, but Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy sounded optimistic for Lacy’s chances to play in this Sunday’s game against the Jets. McCarthy said Lacy is in the final stages of his protocol for recovery from the concussion he suffered against Seattle.
“I would say Eddie Lacy is near the end (of the protocol), from talking to Eddie and the medical staff. He’s progressed quickly,” McCarthy said.
Tackle Bryan Bulaga is recovering from a knee injury he sustained in last Thursday’s season opener; he was limited in practice on Wednesday.
“We’ll see how Bryan feels tomorrow,” McCarthy said.
Linebacker Brad Jones (quad) was also a non-participant.
“Brad wasn’t able to go. He’s injured and I doubt he’ll be able to go tomorrow. He’s been fighting this thing for weeks,” McCarthy said.
Tight end Brandon Bostick (fibula) was limited in practice and cornerback Demetri Goodson (concussion) was a full participant.
