GREEN BAY–The Packers turned to fullback in the sixth round, drafting Oklahoma’s Aaron Ripkowski with the 206th overall pick of the draft.
Ripkowski, 6-1, 257, is a blocker supreme. He carried the ball six times in 2014; three of those carries resulted in touchdowns.
He’s also been used as a tight end, so he was likely drafted for his versatility in a blocking role, and also with special teams in mind.
