blog-header-imageGREEN BAY — This is one of the most important weeks of training camp, in that it features five days of padded practices including the week-ending Family Night.

“Your padded practices are at the highest priority. We have four more padded practices this week. When we walk off the field Saturday after Family Night, we’ll have all of our scheme in,” Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy said following a Monday practice that featured red-zone work.

“The tempo has been good, not great. The emphasis was red zone. Things happen faster down there. I thought the offense did some really good things. It takes some time,” McCarthy said.

Rookie cornerback Quinten Rollins practiced for the first time in this training camp, after missing the first three days of practice due to hamstring tenderness.

Linebacker Clay Matthews didn’t practice on Monday.

“He had some knee soreness,” McCarthy said.
