“Bryan Bulaga is doing well. He did everything we planned for. So far so good,” Head Coach Mike McCarthy said when asked about his right tackle’s progress.
McCarthy will be coaching against a friend and football associate on Sunday, when the Packers host the St. Louis Rams. McCarthy and Rams Offensive Coordinator Frank Cignetti began their coaching careers as graduate assistants at Pitt, and they’ve remained close since then.
“You watch the tape and see things similar to what we’re doing,” McCarthy said.
Rams quarterback Nick Foles is Cignetti’s No. 1 project. Foles was traded in the offseason from the Eagles to the Rams for Sam Bradford.
“He manages his game very well. He plays to a disciplined time clock. He can make all the throws. Nick is an excellent fit for what they’re doing,” McCarthy said.
Packers.com will provide a full report following locker room interviews this afternoon.
