Rookie Rams running back Todd Gurley broke off a 55-yard run midway through the fourth quarter. It put the Rams into position to cut the Packers’ lead to four points, but Nick Foles’ third-and-goal pass was tipped by Joe Thomas and intercepted in the end zone by HaHa Clinton-Dix, preserving a 21-10 Packers advantage. It was, yet, another big play made by the Packers defense.
Aaron Rodgers completed a 65-yard touchdown pass to James Jones early in the third quarter to give the Packers a cushion, but Rodgers and the Packers offense largely struggled against a stout Rams defense. Rodgers finished the game having completed 19 of 30 passes for 241 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.
Gurley, a rookie, was the offensive star of the game with 159 yards rushing.
The Packers are 5-0 and will host the Chargers next Sunday.
