151104-panthers-950GREEN BAY — The online fan vote for the Pro Bowl has concluded, and Packers QB Aaron Rodgers finished with the fifth-most votes overall.

The top five vote-getters were all quarterbacks, led by New England’s Tom Brady (701,554 votes), who edged Carolina’s Cam Newton (701,086) by less than 500 votes. Cincinnati’s Andy Dalton (525,638) was third, followed by Arizona’s Carson Palmer (514,967) and Rodgers (510,374).

Two Packers finished in the top two in the voting at their respective positions. Clay Matthews was the second-highest vote-getter at inside linebacker, behind only Carolina’s Luke Kuechly, while Josh Sitton placed second at guard, behind only Carolina’s Trai Turner. Sitton finished less than 1,000 votes behind Turner.

The fan vote counts one-third in the Pro Bowl selection process, with the votes of players and coaches counting the other two-thirds. The full roster of Pro Bowlers will be announced on NFL Network on Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m.
