GREEN BAY — By moving on to preparation for the Vikings right away on Monday, Mike McCarthy felt good about the film study that was done that day with the players in advance of Wednesday, the first full prep day of the week.
“We’re a little further into our plan than we would be for a normal Wednesday,” McCarthy said prior to Wednesday’s practice. “Our guys are all locked in. That’s the feeling I have.”
The Packers are trying to get healthier in advance of Sunday’s showdown for the NFC North title, but availability answers on some players may not be known until later in the week.
McCarthy said CB Sam Shields (concussion) was going to do some work at practice on Wednesday. Offensive tackles David Bakhtiari (ankle) and Bryan Bulaga (ankle) were more up in the air.
“It’s going to take the full week for those guys,” McCarthy said.
