Could you explain how one offensive penalty offsets two defensive penalties?

It does.

Gene from Los Angeles, CA

Vic, if we can catch the ball, we can play with these guys. I’m excited.

I agree, but the Randall Cobb injury has me worried. He’s been ruled out. This team is beyond the saturation point for injuries at wide receiver.

Paul from Gorham, ME

Vic, what is an illegal shift?

Bryan Bulaga moved before the ball was snapped. It was a good call.

Dave from Mt. Prospect, IL

Why does the Cardinals center get to move the ball nearly a yard forward before every snap?

OK, no more complaining about the officiating. The Packers just got a huge call in their favor.

Javi from Chicago, IL

Horrible start in my opinion. Missed a golden opportunity for an interception, put ourselves in a hole with two bad penalties, gave up 30 yards of field position with our own offensive drive and couldn’t stop several third and fourth downs, which ended up costing a TD.

It’s better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. I heard that in church today. Hang in there.

Ken from Coralville, IA

Not to get mushy, but I’m feeling some butterflies in my stomach before the game I haven’t felt since Week 1.

I know what you mean. They served pot roast in pregame and it’s got me feeling a little funny, too.

Kim from Crooked Lake, WI

I haven’t been nervous all week and now I’m a mess. Help me get some perspective, Vic.

The tension is only going to increase, so you’ve got that going for you, which is nice.

Mike from Oak Forest, IL

Vic, what do you see needs to be addressed? I don’t see the receivers getting free. The offensive line has their hands full.

Play to the strength of the defense. Let the game come to you on offense. Don’t force the issue. The longer this game stays close, the more it favors the Packers. Make the noose tighten.

Dan from Lignite, ND

Looks like we are getting just what we have been begging for since training camp. Janis and Abby both on the field in the thick of things.

Are you old enough to remember the hit TV show “You Asked for It”?

Catherine from Vail, CO

If the taunting had been the only penalty on that would-be interception, how would that have been assessed?

It happened during the play, so I think it would’ve been enforced from the point of the infraction.

Roland from Glen Cove, NY

Vic, playing tough so far. Can’t wait to see how it ends.

Everybody needs to buckle up. This one is going down to the wire.
