GREEN BAY — Packers QB Aaron Rodgers will not be participating in the Pro Bowl. The NFL has named Raiders QB Derek Carr as his replacement, announcing that Rodgers will not participate due to injury. No specifics were given.
It was the fifth career Pro Bowl selection for Rodgers, who also received the recognition in 2009, ’11, ’12 and ’14.
The Packers will be down to three representatives in the Pro Bowl on Sunday, Jan. 31, in Hawaii — LB Clay Matthews, G Josh Sitton and FB John Kuhn. The Packers’ coaching staff will also be coaching one of the teams.
