Aaron Rodgers

The fifth and final TV commercial for the Milwaukee Brewers featuring Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was released today.

In this last spot, Rodgers is taking his cuts in the batting cage when he gets yet another call from Head Coach Mike McCarthy, reminding him of his “other job,” and it appears his foray into baseball has abruptly ended.

To see the clip, click here.

The filming of all five ads took place in late February while the Brewers were in spring training in Arizona and Rodgers dropped in for a visit.

Aaron Rodgers speaking to Coach McCarthy on the phone

The third of QB Aaron Rodgers’ promotional TV spots for the Milwaukee Brewers has been released. It’s entitled, “Bad Reception.”

In this one, Rodgers is on the mound — as he has been in all of them so far — and gets a cell-phone call from a voice familiar to Packers fans, but Rodgers isn’t particularly interested in talking to him.

You can watch the latest spot on brewers.com.

Rodgers filmed all the spots in Arizona during spring training. More ads are coming as the season progresses. We’ll see which one ends up being the best.

Rodgers drops in on Brewers

Posted by Mike Spofford on February 29, 2012 – 3:46 pm

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers paid a visit to the Milwaukee Brewers during their spring training workout in Maryvale, Ariz., on Wednesday.

Rodgers, who is good friends with Brewers LF and reigning NL MVP Ryan Braun, chatted with several players and shagged some balls in the outfield during batting practice. Last week, Braun was successful in getting a 50-game suspension for a violation of Major League Baseball’s drug-testing policy overturned, and Rodgers notably came to his friend’s defense on Twitter.

Rodgers did not speak to reporters or conduct any interviews.
