Two RBs, two Cs already gone in fourth

Posted by Mike Spofford on April 28, 2012 – 11:42 am

If the Packers are looking for a RB and/or C at the end of the fourth round, a pair from each position have come off the board early in the fourth round.

The Dolphins took Miami RB Lamar Miller with the second pick of the fourth round, No. 97 overall, and then the Seahawks took Utah State RB Robert Turbin nine slots later, at No. 106.

As for the centers, Houston took Georgia C Ben Jones at No. 99, and then, nine picks later, Denver took Baylor C Philip Blake at No. 108.

There’s no way to know how highly the Packers had any of those players rated on their board, but the crop at those two positions just got a lot thinner.

Still more than 20 picks away from the Packers making those back-to-back compensatory choices at the end of the fourth round.
