WR Brian Quick of Appalachian State is the first pick of the second round, going to the Rams at No. 33. Right after that, the Colts took TE Coby Fleener from Stanford, so the first two picks on Day 2 are offensive players.
There are still a number of attractive defensive players, particularly defensive linemen, on the board. Alabama’s Courtney Upshaw is an OLB candidate, while interior guys remaining include UConn’s Kendall Reyes, Michigan State’s Jerel Worthy, Penn State’s Devon Still, and a few others.
It will be interesting to see if the Packers have targeted one of those names and whether or not they’ll look into trading up if one of them hangs around for a few picks or toward the middle of the second round.
