Chiefs 7, Packers 0

With starting QB Matt Cassel still in the game, the Chiefs get on the board first. RB Jamaal Charles had a 19-yard catch-and-run, and then a 7-yard reception on which the Packers thought they had another turnover when S Charlie Peprah stripped and recovered the ball. But Charles was ruled down, and the drive continued with a 30-yard pass to WR Dwayne Bowe down to the 3. On second down, Cassel hit TE Leonard Pope for a 2-yard score on a bootleg.

11 plays, 62 yards, Time of poss. 4:28

Packers LS Brett Goode has left the game due to a blow to the head, presumably when he absorbed a big block on the Chiefs’ long punt return following the Packers’ first drive. Evan Dietrich-Smith has taken over long-snapping duties.
