Coming up empty

The Packers finally get something going offensively after four straight three-and-outs. RB Kregg Lumpkin picks up a first down with a 9-yard rush, and QB Matt Flynn hits WR Brett Swain for 22 yards on a crossing route. On third-and-11 from the KC 24, Flynn hits Swain again over the middle for 14 yards and a first-and-goal from the 10.

On third-and-goal from the 5, Flynn tried to go to Swain again at the goal line and it was broken up. The Packers decided to go for it on fourth down, and Flynn tried Swain again over along the left sideline. Swain got his hands on the ball but juggled it and couldn’t haul it in amidst tight coverage.

Still 7-0 KC with 8:18 left in the second quarter.
