LB Brady Poppinga returned to practice on Friday morning, while T Chad Clifton and S Derrick Martin were new to the group sitting out. With Clifton, it hasn’t been unusual for the veteran to rest late in the week before a game. Martin had been in and out of practice during training camp following offseason ankle surgery.
Remaining out were DE Mike Neal (side), CB Brandon Underwood (shoulder) and LB Desmond Bishop (hamstring). Bishop was doing some running off to the side to test his hamstring during the opening jog-through portion of practice but was not participating in any actual drills.
