Packers 10, Eagles 3 — Driver gets No. 50

Posted by Mike Spofford on September 12, 2010 – 4:41 pm

Rodgers hits Driver from 6 yards out on third-and-goal for the season’s first TD. The play was reviewed by the booth but stood as called.

The TD catch is the 50th of Driver’s career, tying Max McGee for No. 4 on the team’s all-time list.

RB Brandon Jackson came in for Grant and gained just 4 yards on three carries, but he also caught a swing pass for 13 yards that set up the goal-to-go. The really big play was a leaping one-handed catch by WR Greg Jennings for 16 yards to convert a third-and-9 and keep the drive alive.

11 plays, 76 yards, 5:33

It’s 10-3 with 1:48 left in the half.

Injury updates: Eagles C Jamaal Jackson has injured his right elbow and will not return. Eagles QB Kevin Kolb is reported to have hurt his jaw but will return. Kolb got hurt when Matthews chased him down from behind and knocked the ball loose, going out of bounds. Matthews, who already had one sack in the game, was not credited with his second sack because Kolb got across the line of scrimmage by 1 yard.
