The Packers finally got the ball into the end zone, driving 72 yards in 11 plays (5:51). RB Brandon Jackson took it in from the 1 on third-and-goal with 11 seconds left in the first quarter.
The drive included another big pass to Finley, for 32 yards. He was matched up on LB Chris Kelsay, a matchup the Packers will take anytime. Rodgers lofted the ball up over Kelsey and Finley made a nice over-the-shoulder grab. He now has 66 yards receiving today on two grabs, already more than the 47 yards he had last week in Philly.
Rodgers converted a key third-and-10 with a 12-yard scramble up the middle to make it first-and-goal. Interestingly, on third-and-goal, as FB John Kuhn came into the huddle from the sideline, the Lambeau crowd began the chant of “Kuuuuuuuuhn…”, knowing the fullback has been a favorite ballcarrier of Mike McCarthy down near the goal line. He didn’t get the call, instead lead-blocking for Jackson, but the fifth-year player seems to be turning into a fan favorite for his production and his name.
