The Bills are definitely determined to run the ball, getting 82 of their 93 yards in the first half on the ground. QB Trent Edwards has been under a lot of heat throwing the ball, but Buffalo is hoping the ability to run the ball might wear down Green Bay’s defenders in the second half. We’ll see if that happens.
Lack of red-zone execution cost the Packers in the first half, as they should have had more than 13 points. The first-and-goal on the 8 in the first quarter produced only a field goal after a 2-yard run and two incomplete passes. Those missed opportunities loom large when the offense inevitably starts to sputter a little bit, as the unit did on its final two drives of the half.
Bills will get the ball to start the second half.
