Hawk gets INT
Posted by on October 3, 2010 – 12:22 pmThe Packers stop a promising opening drive by the Lions with an INT by LB A.J. Hawk. On third-and-9 from the Green Bay 17, RB Jahvid Best came out of the backfield for a pass but slipped on his route and Shaun Hill’s throw went right to Hawk.
Prior to that, the Lions had converted two third downs, needing 9 and 12 yards. The Packers notched their league-best 14th sack of the season on the defense’s first play, with NT B.J. Raji getting his second of the season.
The INT is the 6th of Hawk’s career, and his third in his last nine regular-season games. Hawk had INTs late last season against Baltimore and Seattle.
