Coach McCarthy gave the injury rundown during his Monday press conference. Here goes:
QB Aaron Rodgers’ concussion will at a minimum keep him out of some practice time this week. His availability for Sunday’s game isn’t yet known, but McCarthy acknowledged it’s possible he could miss the game.
LB Nick Barnett is having surgery on Wednesday on his wrist and TE Jermichael Finley is having surgery Tuesday on his knee. A timetable on both players will be known following those procedures.
LB Clay Matthews’ hamstring strain isn’t as severe as the one from training camp that kept him out a month. DE Ryan Pickett has an ankle sprain but no timetable has been set.
TE Donald Lee has a chest sprain and is likely out a couple of weeks. S Derrick Martin has a knee sprain and could be out longer than that. T Mark Tauscher’s status for this week is still up in the air, and LB Brandon Chillar could return to practice this week on a trial basis.
