The Packers’ defense has had an entire week to prepare for DE Cullen Jenkins’ absence, unlike the last time when he got hurt in pre-game warm-ups against the Vikings back on Oct. 24. Youngsters C.J. Wilson and Jarius Wynn will be called upon to handle much larger roles on Sunday, and that’s the subject of today’s feature story.
Also, LB Clay Matthews has been limited to the jog-through portions of practice for more than a month now due to a shin injury. It’s not ideal to miss so much practice time, but it’s the best way to have him as healthy as possible for the games. That leads off today’s notebook.
