Rodgers update

Coach McCarthy said on Friday that QB Aaron Rodgers was still working through the medical process to get clearance following his concussion, and he left the door open for Rodgers to play in Sunday night’s game in New England.

Rodgers is officially listed as doubtful on the injury report after not practicing for a third straight day. He did attend at least part of the meetings and a portion of practice on Friday after missing everything the previous two days. He will make the trip to New England regardless, McCarthy said.

McCarthy also said the equipment staff has changed Rodgers’ helmet to a different type, but he didn’t go into specifics.

As for other players, G Daryn Colledge (knee) is expected to start while LB Frank Zombo (knee) is doubtful and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Erik Walden.
