Rodgers returns to practice

QB Aaron Rodgers was back at practice on Wednesday, having been cleared medically following his second concussion of the season, which forced him to sit out last Sunday’s game.

Head Coach Mike McCarthy will have an update on Rodgers in his post-practice press conference, and Rodgers likely will speak to reporters as well.

S Nick Collins, who left last Sunday’s game for x-rays on his ribs (which were negative), participated in the opening jog-through portion of practice. DE Cullen Jenkins (calf), LB Frank Zombo (knee) and LB Diyral Briggs (ankle) were not practicing during the portion open to the media.

LB Clay Matthews, who has been limited to jog-through segments of practice only for the last several weeks, was doing more drills compared to his recent routine.

Stay tuned to Packers.com for Wednesday’s McCarthy transcript, feature story and notebook.
