No. 6 seed is only one available to Packers

With the New Orleans Saints’ victory over the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, the only NFC Wild Card spot the Packers can get is the No. 6 seed.

The Saints (11-4) and Falcons (12-3) are still battling for the NFC South title, but whoever finishes second will have the No. 5 seed as a Wild Card because none of the other contenders — the Packers, Giants and Buccaneers — have a chance to get to 11 wins.

Should the Packers get in the playoffs as a No. 6 seed, any and all playoff games would be on the road.
