In celebration of the publication’s 125th anniversary, Sporting News asked an all-star panel of current and former players, coaches and executives to select the best teams in NFL history, and the 1962 Packers ranked fifth on the list.

The 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only team to go undefeated through the regular season and win a Super Bowl, was ranked No. 1.

The 1962 Packers went 13-1 in the regular season and won their second of five NFL championships in the decade with a 16-7 victory over the N.Y. Giants.

In the regular season that year, the Packers outscored their opponents 415-148. They posted three shutouts, and only once in the first 10 games that year did a team score more than 13 points against Green Bay. Meanwhile the offense scored at least 31 points eight times.
