Thursday’s coverage

The Packers’ defense has failed to generate a turnover only twice all year, one of those being the first trip to Atlanta back in Week 12. The Falcons turned the ball over the fewest of any NFC team this past season, just 17 times. Just one or two turnovers for the Packers could turn the tide, and that’s the subject of today’s feature story.

Also, at the end of that first meeting back in late November, Atlanta KR Eric Weems made the game-changing play with a big kick return that helped set up the winning field goal. The Packers have held Chicago’s Devin Hester and Philadelphia’s DeSean Jackson in check the past two weeks, and they must do so again with Weems. That leads off today’s notebook.
