QB Aaron Rodgers is on the Midwest regional cover of this week’s issue of Sports Illustrated, which hits newsstands on Wednesday.
The photo depicts Rodgers just as he’s about to score on his 1-yard bootleg run for the first touchdown in last Sunday’s 21-14 victory over the Chicago Bears for the NFC Championship.
SI’s Peter King authored the cover story, “Pack Where They Belong,” which discusses how “the cool of its quarterback and vital contributions from up and down a well-built roster” helped Green Bay get back to the Super Bowl. King does predict a 33-27 victory by the Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, which was his preseason prediction.
According to information from SI, this is the 34th time the Packers have graced the cover of the magazine, third most among NFL teams behind the Cowboys (47) and Steelers (38).
