LB Frank Zombo returned to practice on Friday for the Packers after missing the last six games with a knee injury.
Zombo hasn’t played since the Detroit game in Week 14. He had a trial return to practice once before the end of the regular season, but it didn’t go well and he has been inactive for six straight weeks.
The player who replaced Zombo in the starting lineup at outside linebacker, Erik Walden, was not practicing on Friday during the portion open to the media. Walden injured his ankle in the NFC Championship Game last Sunday in Chicago and was replaced in that game by LB Robert Francois.
Stay tuned to Packers.com for a transcript of Coach McCarthy’s press conference, which is slated for roughly 1 p.m. after practice ends. We will also have a feature story and notebook today, along with videos of locker room interviews and the like.
