INDIANAPOLIS–Clay Matthews wasn’t as highly regarded by the draftniks as he was by the Packers when they made him the 26th overall pick of the 2009 draft. What did the Packers see in Matthews the draftniks missed?
“I saw a guy who was on a mission, who had a chip on his shoulder and wanted to prove he belonged. He was very driven and had only played a handful of games at SC. I saw a lot of Kevin (Greene) in him from when Kevin was a player,” Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers said of Matthews.
