Remember back in week two vs. Buffalo when Chad Clifton was benched due to his balky knee and there were all sorts of questions about whether this was the beginning of the end for the veteran left tackle?
Well, not only did Clifton not miss a start all season, including the playoffs, but he was voted to the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster for the first time in his career. He didn’t get to play in the Pro Bowl — like he did following the 2007 season as an injury replacement — because the Packers advanced to the Super Bowl, but Clifton of course wasn’t complaining.
Amazingly, Clifton told packers.com in a recent interview that physically he’s feeling better than he has in several years following the conclusion of the season, even after the 20-gamer just completed. He’s already looking forward to playing a 12th year in Green Bay.
