Congratulations to NFL Films on another sensational production. “Super Bowl XLV Champions” premiered last night at the absolutely beautiful Meyer Theater in downtown Green Bay and the film delighted its invited guests who, in typical Packers fans fashion, arrived early and stood in the cold waiting for doors to open.
The production, in my opinion, was strongest at putting the contribution of the defense in perspective. Yes, Aaron Rodgers was the star of the Packers’ postseason run, but how many times did the Packers defense have to save the day? Greg Jennings made mention of it during one of his sideline dissertations. That may have been the most profound comment in the movie.
