Falcons make big trade to move up; was it wise?

From Vic’s ongoing live chat:

Julio Jones? The Falcons are confessed need pickers. I don’t get this one. Where’s the need?

The Falcons need a pass-rusher, a pass-defender. They could’ve gotten a receiver in the middle rounds.

This is a good trade-down by the Browns because they’re rebuilding and that’s what rebuilding teams do. I hope for their sake that they got more in this trade than they got for the trade-down with the Jets that produced Mark Sanchez. That was just trading back to get away from a big salary.

That was a gutsy trade by Thomas Dimitroff. If it backfires, it’s all on him.

It sends a message to me that offense sells tickets, which has always been a bit of an issue in Atlanta.
