Quick review of the Top 10 picks

With Jacksonville trading up to No. 10 for Blaine Gabbert, the top three QBs are off the board. Carolina took Cam Newton No. 1 and Tennessee took Jake Locker at No. 8.

Only three big guys taken in the top 10 — Buffalo took DT Marcell Dareus, San Francisco took DE Aldon Smith, and Dallas took T Tyron Smith. The Cowboys are the only team to take an offensive lineman so far. Projections were as many as five offensive tackles would go in the first round, maybe more. Only one through the top 10.

Interestingly, two schools have had two players each taken so far — Dareus and WR Julio Jones from Alabama, then Aldon Smith and Gabbert from Missouri.

The top to WRs are also gone — Jones and Georgia’s A.J. Green, who went No. 4 to Cincinnati.

Two teams traded up into the Top 10 — Atlanta to get Green and Jacksonville to get Gabbert.

Two NFC North teams are slated to pick soon — Minnesota at 12 and Detroit at 13.
