NFC North rivals focus on passing games in Round 2

After taking a QB in the first round, Minnesota went offense against with TE Kyle Rudolph from Notre Dame.  That should make for a pretty dynamic TE pair with Visanthe Shiancoe.

Barring a trade up, that’s Minnesota’s last pick tonight. The Vikings do not have a third-rounder, and they have yet to add anything to their defense. They gave up their third-round pick in the midseason trade last year with New England for WR Randy Moss.

Right after Minnesota, Detroit took Boise State WR Titus Young.  The Lions will look for him to develop into a legitimate No. 2 receiver behind Calvin Johnson. Young is a speed guy. There’s no doubting Detroit’s offensive weaponry. Johnson, Jahvid Best, Brandon Pettigrew, now Young.  Their whole issue is keeping QB Matthew Stafford healthy, and upright.
